Walk-in and walk-out
At Towncrest Pharmacy, we can get you vaccinated in a matter of a few minutes. We are certified to give vaccinations and, working with a local physician, have a collaborative practice agreement allowing us to vaccinate any adults 18 years or older. Vaccination for the 2007-2008 strains of Influenza cost $27.
Influenza Vaccine
Today it is easier than ever to get protection from one of the world's number one killers. Influenza is the 7th highest cause of death in the United States and it is largely preventable. The CDC recommends that all adults 65 and older get their flu vaccination between October 15th and December 15th. Medicare Part B will even pay for the vaccination of you are covered by this program!
Kids Too
We can also help you vaccinate your children ages 3 to 18 against the influenza virus. We require a prescription to perform this service and we will work with your child's physician to get authorization.
Pneumococcal Vaccine
Towncrest Pharmacy offers vaccination for pneumonia, also. Certain individuals are at high risk of pneumonia. The CDC recommends that high risk individuals be vaccinated for pneumonia initially and again once reaching age 65. Talk to your Towncrest pharmacist to see if you should be vaccinated. The cost for pneumococcal vaccination is only $35 and walk-is are gladly accommodated.
Zostivax
Medicare recently added a special benefit for Part D (drug plan) enrollees. Your Part D Plan will defray some of the cost of receiving this new and important vaccine option. Towncrest Pharmacy can make it easy to receive this vaccine.
