Easy Does It!
When you go to the physician's office for an official lipid panel, they will usually draw several vials of blood. The Cholestech screening device offered at Towncrest Pharmacy only requires a finger stick and about the same amount of blood you would use to test your blood sugar. If that is not easy enough, we also can give you your results in just 5 minutes! It is just that easy.
We offer two different cholesterol screens:
- Lipid Panel $50- you must be fasting for 9 hours for accurate results
- Total Cholesterol and HDL $30 - can be taken anytime
The Cholestech screening tool allows us to measure your:
- Total Cholesterol (TC) (Both Tests)
- HDL Cholesterol (good cholesterol) (Both Tests)
- Triglicerides (Lipid Panel only)
- LDL Cholesterol (Lipid Panel Only)
- Cholesterol Ratio (Lipid Panel Only)
While you wait for your test results, one of our professional staff will take the time to discuss your risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and help you understand your results and your overall risk.

The Cholestech results are comparable to the "gold standard" blood test drawn by a medical lab. They are a very inexpensive and accessible way to see how well you are doing. You don't have to wait until your next physical to see the results of your hard work.
